Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine

In 2017, Mayo Clinic’s campuses in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona, became the third campus of Mayo Clinic Alix’s School of Medicine. Students will join about 5,700 Mayo Clinic employees who care for more than 100,000 patients every year. The Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in collaboration with Arizona State University has developed signature joint programs and received recognition by the American Medical Association for innovations in the medical school curriculum. For example, Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine is the first in the nation to integrate a Science of Health Care Delivery certificate program with ASU into medical degree training.

Executive Education and Continuous Professional Development

Our curriculum focuses on evidence-based practice and collaboration across the continuum of care, creating care delivery systems that are compassionate, cost-effective, and sustainable. Education and professional development programs range from remote onboarding and training for Mayo Clinic OAM schedulers, to a 50-hour online Health and Wellbeing Certificate program exploring topics such as mindfulness, nutrition, sleep, physical fitness, and holistic wellness. As health care quickly transforms, our training emphasizes cross-disciplinary skills and team-oriented approaches that facilitate professional growth and promote better health outcomes.
